SEQEX IN HOSPITAL PREVENTS NEED FOR NG2 SUCTION PROCEDURE FOR BLOCKED BOWEL

The emergency doctor and in-patient surgery ward doctors at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie allowed my friend to receive Seqex treatments to clear a blocked bowel.  She was admitted to hospital in a critical state and would have been given an NG2 procedure in emerg.  She pleaded to be able to try the Seqex mat instead, and was granted permission.  Continued MIC treatments were administered over 2 days, which eventually cleared the blockage, avoiding the need to undergo a painful and invasive NG2 suction procedure.  Within 48 hours, she was discharged, with minimal lingering discomfort.  This was the first occasion where our FAM Seqex mat was used inside the local hospital.
